Symbols of the National High School in Finance and Business (NHSFB)

LOGO   MOTTO   ANTHEM

The building of the School is acknowledged an architectural monument.  It combines spirit and grandeur, antic symbolism and confidence in future generations.

There are two elements among this rich, historically determined symbolism, that we most cherish:

  • the clock tower
  • the statue of the ancient Greek God Hermes, patron of merchants.

Logo

logoThe School's logo contains Hermes' image as a young boy when he had shown his ingenuity and clever mind for the first time.

Motto

The School has chosen for a motto a wise phrase of the Russian pedagogue and democrat Konstantin Ushinski (1824 - 1870).

"One can pass a thought, derived out of experience, and not the experience itself."

Anthem

of the National High School in Finance and Business

Music: Valdy Toteff
Text: Alexander Petroff

The red edifice with the tower -
Has an abounding history.
The big hall keeps the memory
for people`ve created a theory.

And step by step we discover -
How deep, deep is the world.
We learn how to gather together
Things more important than figs.

The seasons and years will fly
The clock will never stop.
But with us a sign will always stay
From the time spent at the school.

And tomorrow when we take
To somewhere into our life
We'll give in order to get
From everything and lots of love.

The seasons and years will fly
The clock will never stop.
But with us a sign will always stay
From the time spent at the school.
